BOOKS=ICE CREAM!!!
This month's theme at BOOKMARCC'D in the Park is "BOOKS & BLESSINGS"!
In addition to our Thanksgiving themed craft & games, each child that donates a minimum of 1 book will receive a special, sweet, "thank you treat" from Joe Snow Quality Ice Creams, whose truck will be on-site for the duration of our BOOKMARCC'D event!
Free ice cream tickets ranging from $1-$2 will be awarded based on the quantity & quality (condition) of the books donated!
No books to donate? NO PROBLEM! We invite you to join our regular BOOKMARCC'D fun that includes crafts and games, and you may treat yourself to ice cream from the truck if you wish!
If this is your first time hearing about BOOKMARCC'D, allow us to introduce ourselves!
BOOKMARCC'D is a youth-led paired reading initiative designed to establish and foster a love for reading and books in children of all ages.
This beautiful event is hosted by members of The M.A.R.C.C. Academy, Inc., an incredible group of high school students throughout St. Lucie County who have a heart to serve their community and a desire to experience personal growth as they prepare for adulthood.
Bring your toddlers through middle schoolers to Sportsman's Park every first Saturday of the month between 10am and 1pm to:
- enjoy a good book (or 2, or 3, or more), with a teen reading
buddy of their choice
- choose a prize from our treasure box
- collect a signature to earn a free kids' meal at Texas Roadhouse
- select a book or two to take home
- hang out with us to play games and do a craft
