# Event Details - **Event Name**: 7th Annual Chili Cookoff & Silent Auction to Benefit Scout Troop 499 - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 21 Feb, 2026 at 01:00 pm – Sat, 21 Feb, 2026 at 05:00 pm - **Event Description**: 7th Annual Chili Cookoff and Silent Auction to Benefit the Youth of Scout Troop 499 the Oldest Scout Troop on the Treasure Coast. What to expect: For only $10 (seriously where can you get a full lunch and drinks for $10 anymore) You will be escorted by a Scout and get a sample of each of the Chili's entered in the contest (Usually 10-15 contestants) after you sample all the chilis and pick your favorite you will get either a bowl of rice or hot dog, a side (usually cornbread or a roll) and a bowl of your Favorite Chili then go to the topping bar to dress it up with all the fixings (If you can even fit anymore after sampling 10-15 chilis!) You also will get a drink of Lemonade, Ice Tea or water. Scouts will be selling desserts for $1-2 from a cart if you can fit another crumb in after your hearty lunch. After you have filled your belly you can check out our silent auction table. We get awesome auction items, experiences and baskets, dining gift cards, etc. Some past favorites. Fishing Charter, Tickets to Sea World and other Orlando attractions, Kona Ice Truck Party, Gift cards for multiple local restaurants. Zoo Tickets, Massage Sessions, Fishing Tackle.....Some really great baskets and they go for very reasonable values. If you can't stay until 5pm you can have one of the adults monitoring the table bid for you up to whatever your max is (A scout is Honest, we will actually do it right and not just put in your max bid). Troop 499 is a 501C3 Charity so all your donations are Tax Deductible. All proceeds are used to enhance the youths summer camping adventures. Funds in the past have been used for transportation to NC, Whitewater Rafting, Rock Climbing Overnight Adventures, Etc. You will leave with a full heart and and a full belly!
