There’s something magical about walking into a room filled with history. Every table, every shelf, and every corner holds pieces that have lived many lives before finding their way to you. That’s the experience waiting at the 27th Annual Antique & Nostalgia Show, happening Saturday, October 18th, and Sunday, October 19th at the Scugog Community Centre in Port Perry.
This much anticipated event has become one of the region’s most beloved fall traditions, attracting visitors from across Ontario. For nearly three decades, the show has grown into a gathering place for all generations, seasoned collectors, decorators, historians, and increasingly, younger shoppers who are falling in love with the character and charm of vintage pieces.
From rustic farmhouse finds to sleek mid-century accents, treasure hunters are flocking to the show in search of pieces that tell a story. Unlike mass-produced décor, antiques carry history and craftsmanship, making them the perfect way to add warmth, individuality, and sustainability to modern living spaces.
This year’s show will feature over 25 quality dealers offering an impressive mix of items: military finds, wooden carvings, crocks and jugs, oil and gas items, vintage jewelry, china and glass, postcards, nostalgic treasures and much more. Whether you’re seeking a statement piece for your home or simply browsing for inspiration, the hunt is half the fun.
Beyond the joy of treasure hunting, this event has an important purpose. The Port Perry Antique & Nostalgia Show is the biggest annual fundraiser for the Lake Scugog Historical Society, a volunteer driven organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of our community. Funds raised support educational programs, historical research, and preservation projects that ensure Scugog’s history remains accessible for generations to come.
So whether you’re a lifelong collector or a first time visitor, join us for a weekend of history, discovery, and community spirit. Every purchase, every ticket, and every conversation helps keep our local history alive.
