Come for an evening of culture & conversation about our community with neighbours and soon-to-be friends!

Mark LeBourdais
Writer / Storyteller / Musician / Songwriter

Mark comes from a long line of writers but has spent much of his life avoiding following in their footsteps until fairly recently. When not busy teaching or parenting, Mark is happiest when playing music, writing stories and songs, and going for nature hikes. Port Moody is the best place he's ever lived, and he paid tribute to his beloved adopted town with his original song, "The Ballad of Bert Flinn."

Aaron Hunter
Poet and Cultural Advocate

Aaron Hunter has been writing poetry for as long as he can remember, scribbling in the margins in class and memorizing stanzas on bus rides. He is inspired by life's occasions from the mundane to the momentous, the silliness to the sorrows. He is a poet, performer, workshop facilitator, event organizer, visual artist... the list goes on. His work explores topics surrounding his identity as an indigenous transgender man trying to find hope in dark times. His debut chapbook "The Archives" was self-published and released at the end of 2024.
