This is a beginner-friendly workshop, with all materials being provided.The Museum will loan a face shield to each student while they are working on the lathe. A member of the Bluewater Area Woodturners (BAW) club will be assigned one-on-one with participants.Safety rules are followed to avoid personal injury:Long hair must be pulled back and secured. Avoid wearing loose clothing (short sleeves are best). No jewelry or dangling objects should be close to the equipment. Listen carefully to your instructor and watch the technique being demonstrated. Feel free to ask questions if you require more information!During the class, each student is given the opportunity to complete their selected project under the close guidance of an instructor, with assistance personalized directly to your questions.We have found that these events are enjoyed by both the students and the experienced BAW members.
