Welcome to Acting and Improv: The Zero In Series! Join Bruce Hunter and Erica May-Wood for Four fun-filled Saturday mornings of learning and laughter at the Cameco Capitol Arts Centre. This series will kick off on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time and run until November 8.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or looking to try something new, this series is perfect for all skill levels. Get ready to unleash your creativity and hone your skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
In this new four-part series, we'll focus in on a spefic element of acting and improv; this round will be on character. We'll use a lot of games, writing, movement, accents - even playing cards - to develop rich characters of all sorts.
So if you have an inner diva, nerd -or diva-nerd hybrid- or any other character busting to get on stage...c'mon down.
Your facilitators:

Erica May-Wood trained classically in the UK and has performed on stages across the province and in short films. She is an experienced facilitator, working with with folks of multiple ages, backgrounds and abilities. Her current practice focuses on participatory art, including a global project executed during the pandemic, a book being adapted into a play by a group of adults living with disability and a new play for kids - by kids. She can also be seen as the housekeeper that Chucky took out in the series of the same name.
