The group remains in a drop-in format , and no previous experience or attendance is required.Two optional creative pathways will be offered allowing participants to choose the approach that best fits where they are in their writing journey.For first-time writers or those looking for structure, we will focus on writing with focus on our senses. Using guided prompts, participants will explore sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell as entry points into lyric writing.For participants who are more experienced or curious about writing to music, the second pathway will explore writing lyrics to music without trying to make the words fit within the music. Writers may bring instrumental tracks, chord progressions, or simple melodies to share but otherwise we will have a few simple instrumental tracks to choose from.
