She leads programming for children and adults with a focus on healing, nature, and sacred sound. She connected with Kirtan in the early 2000s while deepening her yogic studies. As a musician and singer, she was immediately drawn to the vibrations and rhythms of this ancient practice and began to learn the mantras and develop accompanying guitar. She has led Kirtans throughout the greater Cleveland area for the last 22 years.But what is Kirtan?!Kirtan is a form of bhakti yoga(yoga of the heart) and sound yoga (nada yoga), which was developed and practiced along with the poses and breath-work that you might be more familiar with. Chanting works on our nervous system, immune system, and the subtle energetic systems of our bodies. Its healing effects have even been documented through research and medical studies. Chanting reduces our stress response, calms our nervous system, and decreases anxiety.
