# Event Details - **Event Name**: Kid's Night! Gem Mining, Reptiles, Kayaking, & Nature Walk! - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 12 Jun, 2026 at 06:00 pm – Fri, 12 Jun, 2026 at 08:00 pm - **Event Description**: Hey Parents! Back this year again by popular demand! Join us Friday June 12th from 6-8pm for our first Kids Night of the season! Kids night is a blast and your little one will not be disappointed! This event is broken up into 4 - 30 min sessions. Session 1: An interactive animal show! Come out and let your child experience what it is like to see the scales of a snake and the shell of a turtle. They'll get to see a tadpole, baby catfish, a crawfish, and other wildlife that call the Portage River home! It's different every time! They will also get to see some non native wildlife as well! Session 2: Nature Walk! We will take a nature walk on our 94 acre property while we go and hunt for butterflies, frogs, snakes, eagles and other wildlife! Session 3: Gem Mining! The kids will get to pan for gems or fossils (your choice) from all over the world on our home made 116 foot gem mine! Each child will receive a take home bag as a souvenir for their gems and fossils as well as a fossil or gem ID card. Session 4: Kayaking! The kids will get to try a kayak or stand up paddleboard out in our canal and get a basic lesson on the sport. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate. One parent or guardian must be present with the child. This night is all about the kiddos! Please no more than 2 parents/adults to accompany the child. SPACE IS LIMITED!! Call us to get registered!
