Gregory McLoughlin is a New Jersey-based songwriter, bassist, and performer who has spent years cultivating connection the old-fashioned way – showing up with just a bass, a kick drum, and a foot tambourine to play for whoever will listen. His performances blur the line between concert and conversation, inviting listeners into the heart of his songs one person at a time.

After years performing in bands and quietly building a grassroots following, McLoughlin has just released his self-titled debut album, Gregory McLoughlin, a handmade collection that captures the persistence, humility, and hope at the core of his music. Its lead single, “Businessman,” channels his social conscience and lyrical precision, while songs like “Little Janessa” showcase his gift for detail and emotional honesty – the kind of songwriting that feels deeply personal and unmistakably human.

A lifelong sideman turned frontman, McLoughlin’s music blends the improvisational spirit of the jam world with the storytelling craft of classic songwriters.
