Linda Cook's painting practice will be known to many in Ōtepoti and we are delighted to be able to present a new solo show of her work. Of this show 'Arresting Matter', Cook writes of building "painterly surfaces on structures that have been rescued and reanimated, materials that have already lived a life before arriving in my hands... Reworking marginalised and discarded materials energises my practice. I take pleasure in constructing forms from found cardboard, then mixing an almost edible mulch of pigment, glue, and textured matter." This sure to be a fantastic show so please join us for the opening at 4:30 on Sunday 22nd February!
