Get ready for the 2025 Port Byron Great River Tug Fest!
2025 Dates are August 7th-9th!!
Join us for one of the most exciting and unique events in the Quad Cities — the ONLY tug-of-war across the Mississippi River! 🌊💪
Since 1987, thousands gather to watch teams from Port Byron, IL and LeClaire, IA battle it out on a 680-lb rope stretched 2,400 feet across the Mighty Mississippi. 🇺🇸⚓This is a can't-miss tradition!
Tug Fest Highlights:
🎠Thursday: Family Night – fun for all ages
🎆Friday: Fireworks over the river + live music
🏆Saturday: The main tug event – 11 epic matchups across the river!
🎪Plus: Food & craft vendors, kids' games, a prince & princess pageant, and more!
