Love Is in the Air and so are the Kites! Join us on Valentine’s Day!
This year, the winter kite fly lands on Valentine’s Day — Saturday, February 14, 2026! Whether you're hangin’ with your family or flying high with your sweetheart, we’d love to see you. Flyers will begin setting up around 10:00 AM between beach markers 1 and 20, and we’ll be flying all day (weather permitting). And if the wind’s feeling romantic — there may even be night kites, dancing under the stars!
Bring your own kite and join the fun, or simply stroll by and enjoy the colorful display. This event is open to the public, all ages welcome, and totally free!

And don’t forget: if you plan to park on the beach, you’ll need a 2026 Beach Parking Permit. They’re just $12 — available at the Port Aransas Welcome Center or local convenience stores. Also, bring along your beach-day essentials, because there will be no vending on the beach during the event.
