When a setting is so vividly rendered that it comes to life on the page, it can become a character in its own right. But how does a writer do that? In this workshop, discuss various techniques that authors use to bring settings to life—descriptive language, using tone to create atmosphere, and treating the setting as a character from the start. You'll walk away with new ways of thinking about setting, and a few new tricks to add to your writing arsenal.
