Often in life, we avoid the dark, afraid of what we might find there (or what might find us). But sturgeon are well adapted to their environment, and the dark is where they grow big and strong. So on this new sturgeon moon, named for a mighty creature, we will be brave and wade into the depths under a moonless sky.If you sense that it may be time to sift through and emotionally, spiritually, or mentally release some things that no longer serve you, this is a welcoming and kind space for you to do so.I’ll guide you through a time of reflection, during which you can either journal or lay back and allow your thoughts to wander. After that, we’ll turn the music up and shake it out. You can move in whatever way your body wants to: stretching, dancing, maybe some shadow boxing? The important thing is to allow your nervous system to release the energy we’ve worked with.Finally, we’ll end with a time to share as much or as little as you’d like, and receive encouragement from the group.-Join Annie, founder of Wild Maven Wellness, to mark the new sturgeon moon at The Well Port Angeles.Doors open at 6:45pm and close at 7:10pm so we can begin our practice without interruption. We’ll end by 8:30 with time to linger and commune in the space until 9.Bring a journal, a pen, a mug for tea, and a yoga mat or blanket to sit on.
