Retreats can be a powerful vehicle for learning and growth. Retreats offer WAE students the chance to shed routines and responsibilities, enjoy the healing power of nature, experience belonging in a safe community, opportunities for supported self-reflection, and a rich immersion in yogic teachings and practices.
Facilitating a retreat effectively requires a carefully honed curriculum and advanced group facilitation skills. The WAE Train-the-Trainer program offers teachers the chance to learn both of these key components in a weekend training.
After this training, you will be ready to lead WAE retreats for active duty servicemembers, veterans, family members and healthcare providers. You can also use this same curriculum and these leadership skills to lead retreats with civilians, first responders and therapists suffering from stress. In short, most human beings from teens to elders can benefit from these teachings.

In this training you will:

Learn how to deliver a successful retreat fromat that includes lectures, community building exercises, group facilitation and evidence-based practices.
Learn seven core modules for the WAE retreat program
Learn how to foster a safe environment in your group through skilled facilitation
Learn how to deliever lectures that are relevant and engaging for your group
Learn how to deliever ten to 15 basic but powerful practices that support nervous system regulation
Learn how to sequence and structure retreats from half-day to five days in length
Receive a training manual, retreat planning checklist and student handouts you can share at your retreats
