An international, multigenerational movement, Death Cafes are gatherings where people meet to discuss their feelings about—and experiences with—death, and EAT CAKE. Each death cafe serves to help us learn more about death, its reality, its meaning, and its role in our lives. This particular gathering will provide a safe and welcoming environment where community members can openly discuss death, share their experiences, and connect with others. A friendly space to have an honest chat about a taboo topic, this is NOT a grief support group. All are welcome.

About our visiting Death Cafe host: Angela Franklin is an advocate at the intersection of life's most profound moments. As a Death Midwife and Home Funeral Guide, based in Southern Oregon, she brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work. With a passion for education and empowerment, Angela delivers dynamic trainings on topics ranging from navigating serious illness to advanced care planning and after-death supports. Her diverse background as a caregiver, hospice volunteer, end of life doula, older adult behavioral health specialist and community educator uniquely positions her to provide comprehensive support to those facing life's transitions. Angela is committed to fostering connection and compassion within communities. Her dedication to creating spaces of healing and growth reflects her unwavering commitment to the well-being of those she serves.
