- **Event Description**: This coming Fall, Hope Garden Children's Ballet Theatre is proud to present our annual production of "A Winter's Eve" with the support of a grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County. Highlighting various cultural holiday celebrations through an original adaptation of Raymond Briggs' story "The Snowman," we endeavor to involve community members from outside the studio in our performances. 

Auditions will be held at Essence Studios in Poolesville for interested dancers age 12-18. The students auditioning need not be 12 at the time of the audition for Elementary schoolers interested, but they must be 12 by the start of the rehearsal process in mid September, 2026. We are also open to considering movers in college -(ie ages 19-22) should there be interest!
No dance experience is required and HGCBT welcomes dancers of all ethnicities, backgrounds, and gender identities. Rehearsals will take place on select Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons at Essence and performers can expect a time commitment (rehearsals and performances) of about 35 hours. Participants still enrolled in MCPS or other public school systems will be eligible to earn 20-30 SSL hours.

Please note the production has two dress rehearsals and two performances with mandatory attendance. Dress rehearsals: Sat, November 28 at the studio and Thurs, December 3 at the JCC Bender Kreeger Auditorium in Rockville. Performances: Sat, December 5 at 1pm and 6pm at the JCC.
