- **Event Description**: The CA Wessex Section begin the year with their traditional 'Near and Far' social evening, where you will hear the tales of travels in 2025 from a couple of our members. Do let us know if you would like to make a short presentation of the highlights (and maybe some lowlights?!), from your own sailing season.

We will also be holding our annual Photo Competition during the evening, giving the chance to all members to show photos taken during 2025, mingle with a drink from the bar, discuss and choose their favourite images.  

Photo competition details:
-Competition categories are A) Nautical, B) Non Nautical (anything else) C) Humorous
-Members can bring along up to four photographs, in any of the three categories, with a maximum print size of 10" x 8"
-Don't put your name the photos; upon your arrival, we'll number your images and post them on display boards in the correct category
-Members will vote for their favourite photos, and a prize will be awarded to the winner of each category!

Members and non-members are invited to attend.

Tickets: Members £3 / Non-members £6. No need to book in advance.
