🌕 Worm Moon: Pay the Ferryman
Part of the Madmule 2026 Community Run Series
Escape the city lights and join us for one of the most atmospheric runs in the region. We’re heading across the water to the Isle of Purbeck to marvel at the moonlit terrain and the silver sea under the light of the Full Worm Moon.
This session is designed for those looking to reach beyond their 60-minute road runs and build confidence on remote trails in a supportive, social environment.
⛴ The Plan
19:10: Meet at the Sandbanks Ferry Terminal (Poole side).
19:20: The Crossing. Have your £1 ready to "Pay the Ferryman" (foot passenger toll).
The Run: A stunning 7-mile route through the dunes and heathland of Studland. Expect dark skies, fresh sea air, and incredible lunar views. - or horizontal rain with water filled trails ankle deep!
20:50: Return ferry trip back to Sandbanks.
🔦 Essential Gear
Head Torches: Mandatory. We are leaving the streetlights behind!
Footwear: Trail shoes are highly recommended as the terrain can be sandy, uneven, or muddy in March.
Layers: It can get breezy on the ferry and the exposed heath—dress for the elements.

If you can run for an hour and want to try something more adventurous than the pavement, yes! This is a social community run focused on confidence-building and enjoying the natural beauty of the Studland peninsula at night.
Cost: Just your £1 ferry fare and your energy!
