VCSE Safeguarding Forum

Over previous months, Cornwall VSF has engaged in conversations with you around support and resources on offer for VCSE colleagues working in safeguarding.

This included two separate sessions we held as part of our Collaborative Alliance events. Feedback gathered from these events requested the development of a Cornwall VSF-hosted space for sector colleagues.

In response to this, we are proud to launch this inaugural in-person meeting with an option to join online. The ongoing VCSE Safeguarding Forum will be online, and shaped by you, the participants.

Who should attend:

Designated safeguarding leads and/or front-line workers covering and/or responsible for this area of work. This could include a volunteer role.

You could be supporting children and young people or vulnerable adults.

What to expect

This first session creates an opportunity to meet colleagues and network and we would encourage you to come along in-person if you are able to. However, we will also be offering a hybrid online option. Please select the correct ticket option during the booking process and online joining instructions will be sent to delegates attending remotely via email before the event.

Future meetings will take place online and the aim is for Cornwall VSF to host three meetings per year.

The meeting will be chaired by Jo Davies, Chair of our Children, Young People and Families Alliance. The session will be supported by Sarah Phillips, Cornwall VSF Safeguarding Programme lead.
