- **Event Description**: 🐞 Fall Into Nature: Insects 🦋

The insect world is full of tiny creatures doing some seriously incredible things!

Join us for the next Fall Into Nature workshop as Bill Wimley takes us on a visual journey through the fascinating world of Southeast Louisiana insects. Using his own stunning close-up photography, Bill will reveal the surprising forms, adaptations, and functions found across the major insect orders.

From beetles and butterflies to dragonflies, bees, ants, and more, we’ll take a closer look at how wings, legs, eyes, and mouthparts have evolved into remarkable tools for hunting, hiding, deceiving, soaring, and surviving. You may never look at a six-legged creature quite the same way again! 🔍🌿

Our presenter, Bill Wimley, is a professor of Biochemistry at the Tulane University School of Medicine who has spent the past 30 years exploring the natural world of Southeast Louisiana, usually with a camera in hand. What began with birds eventually expanded into a fascination with reptiles, insects, plants, and much more.

Bill shares his observations and photography online through Instagram (@bill_wimley) and iNaturalist (@bill_wimley).
