On Sunday, February 15th at 4:00 pm, you are invited to gather at the First Christian Church of Pomona, to remember LizBeth Lucca and her many gifts to us all.

LizBeth spent several years in the military, and will be honored at the memorial with a Military Color Guard. Following the Presentation of the Colors, there will be personal reminiscences, a selection of musical solos and ensembles, and a short video of LizBeth performing. Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann, an ordained Pastor as well as an excellent violist and conductor, will deliver a brief eulogy.

Ensemble pieces which will need a chorus are:

Libiamo, from La Traviata

Song of the Volga Boatmen (Manly Men only)

Va Pensiero

Lyrics sheets will be provided.

After the service, Erle Saunders will serve his famously delicious hors d'oeuvres and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall, while singers serenade us with familiar arias and ensembles, in the style of the "Opera Nights" which LizBeth used to host at various restaurants in downtown Pomona. 

We are honored to have the services of three excellent pianists who worked with LizBeth regularly:

Jonathan Keplinger
Robert Blake

All musicians who would like to perform at the reception, please bring a clean copy of your music for the pianists (three-hole punched and inserted into a 3-ring binder is always nice). We will start a list of those who RSVP with an interest in singing or playing, and add to the list at the reception.

Bring your favorites!
 
LizBeth had acquired a large inventory of musical scores. A selection of these will be on display at the reception. Anyone who would like to take some of this music home, at no charge, is welcome to do so.
