Dive into the science of swirling motion! Kids will explore how fluids move using rheoscopic materials—special liquids that make invisible currents come to life. We’ll learn about different types of fluid movement (like laminar and turbulent flow) and discover how artist and inventor Paul Matisse turned this science into art with his invention, the Kalliroscope. Then, kids will create their own mini rheoscopic bottles to take home. These can also be used as sensory bottles.

*Our monthly STEAM Challenge for older elementary - middle school-aged kids is a fun and engaging way to introduce children to STEAM concepts. This program will be held on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Pomeroy Library beginning at 5:00 p.m.
