- **Event Description**: The first concert of the season for Poland Spring Preservation Society features students from the Poland Regional High School! Join us at the All Souls Chapel on Monday June 8th at 6:30pm. Admission is a donation and proceeds benefit the Poland Spring Preservation Society and its mission to preserve, restore and protect the 1893 Maine State Building and 1912 All Souls Chapel. Doors open at 6pm! 

The Poland Regional High School Jazz Band is a student instrumental ensemble that meets after school to rehearse and perform jazz and contemporary instrumental music. Members are drawn from their enrollment in the PRHS Concert Band. Several members have auditioned for and participated in the Maine Music Educators Association District and All-State Jazz Honors Festivals. We will perform music from several historical jazz time periods. 

The PRHS Undertones aCapella group comprises students from grades 9-12 who meet after school to practice contemporary vocal music. While many selections are in the traditional a Capella (unaccompanied by instruments) style, this group ocassionally adds percussion or harmonizing instruments to the lineup. 

The PRHS Chamber choir has taken on a different form this year- the auditioned group of singers participated in March in the UMaine S.C.O.R.E. event, where they prepared a major work to sing with other choirs from around the state. Since March they have been developing music for this concert, which will include a more classical range of selections. 

Members of the Chamber Choir and the Undertones include students who have earned placement into District Honors Choirs, District Honors Jazz Choirs, and All State Choirs. Additionally, you will find many of these singers gracing the theatrical stage in dramatic productions and Speech and Debate competitions, as well as playing hard on the athletic fields.
