From there, two experienced guides - Miki Romo and Cecilia Sandoval of Ovalsand Yoga & Wellness will walk you through paddleboarding basics, equipment, and safety -- including use of personal floatation devices -- so that whether you've paddled for years or never stood on a board, you'll feel steady and ready.Then we paddle out together to our yoga spot, where our boards become our mats. Our boards are wide, stable and built for yoga on the water. They hold you through kneeling, sitting, stretching, balancing, and flow -- the creek moving quietly beneath you the whole time.We close, as every yoga practice does, lying on our back in savasana -- but this time floating. If you've never felt savasana with water gently rocking you and open sky above, this is that chance. Once everyone has settled, the sound bath begins. Singing bowls surround us with sound and vibration, as you simply lie back and receive.Water beneath you. Sky above you. Sound all around you.After our floating sound experience, we paddle slowly back to shore together.On land, we gather for a seasonal, organic, locally-sourced picnic prepared by a local chef -- a meal made with love, specifically for what your body needs after a morning like this.All levels welcome.
