Admission to the Light Station and all events are free to all, and Tower Tours of the 115’ tall Lighthouse Tower are available for $5 per person 4 years old and over.

The Lighthouse will be hosting several information/activity stations, including Mendonoma Whale & Seal Study, Marine Mammal Center (with its rescue truck), Acorn Partners in Education, Greater Farallones and Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuaries, the California Native Plant Society (CNPS), Audubon Society, Friends of Point Arena-Stornetta Lands and Conservation Lands Foundation, the Stream Team, and California State Parks "Share the Beach."

There will be guided walks, informative talks, and lectures (see schedule below)
• 1:00 pm- Family-friendly walk (with prizes!) by Acorn Partners in Education
• 1:00 pm- Garcia River Estuary Enhancement Walk with The Nature Conservancy, PCI Ecological, and the CA Urban Streams Alliance - The Stream Team
• 2:00 pm- Coastal Plants by the California Native Plant Society, DKY Chapter
• 4:00 pm – Lighthouse Lecture Series presents “Celebrating National Conservation Lands” talk by Jora Fogg, Conservation Lands Foundation, and Leisyka Parrott, BLM California Coastal National Monument Manager. $5 admission per person

My Mexican Food Truck will be at the Lighthouse serving home-style Mexican food, a full menu with breakfast and lunch options (cash only). The Light Station Store will have snacks and soft drinks available for purchase.

The BLM Ukiah Field Office is hosting the event in partnership with the Friends of Point Arena-Stornetta Lands, Point Arena Lighthouse, City of Point Arena, and Mendocino College. Point Arena-Stornetta public lands were the first onshore unit of the California Coastal National Monument. In 2014, the California Coastal National Monument Gateway Partners successfully advocated for these public lands to be added to the Monument.

The Discovery Trail provides a self-guided exploration of 3.5 miles of coastline from City Hall to Lighthouse Road and an Open House at the Mendocino College Field Station. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. at Point Arena City Hall, 451 School Street, Point Arena, CA. A shuttle will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., allowing participants to walk the entirety of the five-mile trail in one direction and get a ride back to their vehicle.
