Do you remember your 5th grade reproductive health class — the one-hour talk about periods and STIs, but nothing about the menstrual cycle, hormones, or women’s overall health and wellness?
For many women, that gap in education has led to confusion, misinformation, and even shame about their bodies.
One of Miki’s goals is to change the next generation of women’s health education, starting with the current generation. She wants women of all ages to feel informed, empowered, and encouraged to begin discussions, take control of their health, and better support the youth in their lives.
It only made sense to bring this 60-minute Women’s Health 101 lecture to Generations in Plymouth — an opportunity to revisit and elevate what we wish our 5th grade health class would have covered.
Miki will guide participants through:
• Reproductive health through the various life cycles
• Common symptoms and experiences — and how to navigate them
• Health and wellness, including fitness and nutrition
• Sexual health
This is a great opportunity to bring your older teen or young adult to learn about anatomy, physiology, body changes throughout life, and important sexual health topics such as safety, relationships, and making informed decisions regarding contraceptive methods.
This is an informative, judgment-free lecture — no politics, no bias — just education and meaningful discussion.
