All forms of creativity are welcome and so are all forms of people!About this EventWe are Tales to Live By (TLB), a collective working to improve community wellbeing in Plymouth, funded by Awards for All.www.talestoliveby.carrd.coAs a valued community member, YOU are cordially invited to our free community event. The Living Room / Thurs 4 Dec / Almanac Cafe, Plymouth / 6.30pm - 9:30pmWHAT IS A LIVING ROOM SESSION LIKE?Our Living Room Sessions are cosy, comfortable and relaxed (like a good living room!) and in this space we gather together to be as we are and enjoy each other's company. There is always a traditional tale or a game to get us in the mood and then we open the space for people to share: a poem, a song, a story, a dance, a reading, maybe a favourite party trick! These are evenings of togetherness: of reaching out to one another in mutual support and in celebration and appreciation for who we are. They give us time to connect as a community, to build and sustain a much-needed web of social connection, which many are lacking in today's fast-paced society.Because these evenings are created by and for our local community, each one is different and brings its own surprises: we've had experimental art, singalongs, teenage poets and ageing rockers. All forms of creativity are welcome and so are all forms of people! What people have said:"What a lovely, safe, intimate space - a place to unfold, to be witnessed and acknowledged - it was a pleasure to be part of.""I am still rekindling my experience of your Living Room space. It was such a welcoming, delightful, warm and liberal atmosphere and had a hug-like energy and vibe to it."So, come as you are, bring what you will, share, listen, laugh...and bask in the warmth of community!Watch our short documentary here.LIVING ROOM NO.20 (FINAL ONE!)
