Join us at the Blake Planetarium for a fascinating program that connects the motion of the Sun, the deep history of life on Earth, and the stars above us tonight.

We’ll begin with Four Paths of the Sun, a short, clear exploration of why Earth has seasons. This program shows how the Sun’s path across the sky changes throughout the year, how its angle affects daylight and temperature, and why these changes drive seasonal weather patterns. Produced by the Casper Planetarium, this show offers a strong visual foundation for understanding one of Earth’s most important cycles.

Next, experience Dinosaurs: A Story of Survival, a captivating journey through deep time. Follow Celeste, a dinosaur-loving student, as she prepares a class presentation and is guided by Moon, a wise and magical companion. Together they travel into Earth’s distant past to witness the incredible evolution of dinosaurs, from towering giants and armored defenders to fearsome predators, and the catastrophic impact event that led to a mass extinction. Along the way, Celeste discovers the surprising truth about how some dinosaurs survived and are still with us today.

The program concludes with Seasonal Stargazing, a lively tour of the current night sky. Learn how to find prominent stars and constellations and get a quick look at “what’s up tonight” in this engaging fulldome sky show.
