About Sewing Lab: These learning sessions feature specific techniques or concepts that students can learn and explore freely in class. Sessions typically feature: an introduction to the concept instructor demo student practice and exploration a discussion of real-world application Circle Cinch Bag: This Circle Cinch Bag is perfect for toting your cosmetics, jewelry, or really any little bits and bobs. This project covers a variety of skills that will help level up your sewing, including: sewing a curve creating a channel for drawstring inserting drawstring topstitching / edgestitching Materials/Tools Required: A mix of scrap fabrics (3+ fabric quarters would work too) blanket binding cording or soft rope ( somewhere between 1/16" to 3/16") A rotary cutter and small/medium cutting mat Recommended: Notebook and pen (if you like to take notes) Your sewing machine (if you have one and prefer to use it) **This is an intermediate sewing class.
