- **Event Description**: I first learnt of “imaginal cells” in Octavia F. Raheem’s book, Pause, Rest, Be. In the liminal space of the chrysalis, a caterpillar dissolves into a goop of ‘imaginal cells’ before it reconstructs itself into a butterfly. In this 2-part class we’re going to explore the liminal space through movement, imagination and rest.

We will begin with a 70-minute Body Temple Dance class; a free-form, emotional, and energetic somatic movement practice that invites you into deeper connection with the wisdom of your body. Through breath, movement, and imagination practices we’ll get curious and playful as we explore the mystery of the liminal space. This will be followed by a short comfort break and time to set up your rest nest for the Sound Meditation.

Our journey in the liminal space will continue in deep rest. Carly will guide you through a visualisation before the singing bowls, gong, shruti box and therapeutic percussion lead you into deep relaxation. The deeply meditative state we enter through the vibrations and frequencies of the instruments invites you to connect to your intuition and creative essence, whilst your body enjoys space to relax and restore.
