Kick off 2026 the right way, celebrating 250 years of America, and join us at Mattatuck Scout Reservation for our First Day Hike!
“There are no shortcuts to any place worth going,” and there’s no better place to begin the journey than right here at Mattatuck.

Open to the public! Bring your friends. We’ll be offering 1-mile and 3.2-mile guided hikes, perfect for all ages.

Dress weather-appropriately and lace up your boots, and come explore the winter trails with us!
