About the event

Corey Bickford Memorial
It is with great sadness that the family of Corey M. Bickford, of Mount Holly, VT, announces his unexpected passing on July 9, 2025 at the age of 47.

Corey was the son of the late Franklin F. Bickford and Carolyn A Bickford. He was born on September 20th 1977 in Worcester, MA.

Corey is survived by his three children, Cyrus Bickford, Jonah Sarmento, and Braylyn Bickford; his brother Timothy Bickford of VT; three sisters, Cynthia Murphy of MA, Cheryl Bickford of WI, and Cheryl Lapointe of MA;Nephews Joshua Bickford, Mathew Bickford, Carlos Bickford, Zachary Bickford, Kyle Moran, Jonathan Murphy and Shawn Murphy; Nieces Caitlin Candelmo and Marriah Bickford; and many cousins, friends, and extended family members who he enjoyed spending time with and loved dearly.

Corey was predeceased by his father and mother; his brother David John Bickford; and his nephew David John Bickford.

Corey was a member of the Black River High School Class of 1995. Corey worked many years for Built-Rite and Hubbardton Forge doing metal forging/welding work. Most recently, Corey worked with family and close friends doing masonry and tree removal.

Corey had a warm, friendly smile and hug, and was proud of his many tattoos each with a unique story. Corey had big dreams of striking it rich panning for gold for a while. He was smart, talented, a good athlete, funny, and kind. He loved playing basketball and even saw a game between the Celtics and Lakers greats of the 80’s. When Corey played little league his Dad would yell to him to hit a home run and he almost always would – right on cue. Snowboarding was always a family favorite growing up.

Corey’s friends and family are planning to come together with healing prayers and comforting hugs to celebrate Corey’s life on Sunday, July 27 at noon in Camp Plymouth State Park, Ludlow VT.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. We will miss you Corey, rest in peace.
