Bill Doherty DC 35 11th Memorial Golf Classic

Dear Friends of District Council 35, I am writing to ask you for your support of the DC 35 William Doherty Scholarship Fund by participating in this year’s 11th Annual Bill Doherty Memorial Golf Classic. Bill Doherty was a dear friend and long-time labor leader in the Boston Area. When Bill passed away in 2014, we knew it was important to continue his legacy of making the world a better place and, staying true to the life he led, to do our best to help young people achieve their dreams. We have established the DC 35 William Doherty Scholarship Fund which will provide for educational opportunities to deserving college bound students. This year’s event will be held at the CrossWinds Golf Club in Plymouth. It will be a fun day of golf with friends from around the area and will serve a great cause, all while remembering a great man, Bill Doherty.
