Like an iceberg is 10% above the water and 90% below, often the key to completely capitalizing on a hatch is to understand what is going on below the surface where many anglers struggle to find success.  We discuss recognizing situations by reading riseforms and other clues feeding fish give and then knowing and the choosing best presentations and patterns to maximize success.   Are you actually best off with a dry?  What about an emerger?  Caddis, mayfly or midge (yes!  Midges are important – often critical - in the Delaware system and rivers everywhere.).  Dry dropper?  Cast of wets?  Emerger?  What are the most productive patterns?  How should they be fished? Join us as Bob explores the dynamics between hatching insects and trout.
