Join us for a free community event in honor of National Ag Day—a nationwide day recognizing the vital role of agriculture in our daily lives. Enjoy family-friendly experiences, hands-on learning, and opportunities to give back while exploring how food moves from field to fork.

• All proceeds will help to support agricultural education at Food + Farm Exploration Center
PLANNED ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES
Celebrate agriculture with hands-on fun, community connections, and interactive experiences for all ages. Activities will take place throughout the day while supplies last.
• Little Farmer Parade: Kids of all ages are invited to dress up and join in a celebratory stroll through the center with a chance to win a special prize!
• Food Donation Collection: Help support our local community by bringing a canned food item to donate. All donations will benefit a local food pantry.
• Gift Shop Savings: Enjoy 10% off everything in the Gift Shop.
• Colorful Plate Café Specials: Specials inspired by our focus crops.
• Kitchen Lab Activities: Complimentary fresh vegetable samples.
• Food System Vendors: Meet growers, processors, and partners from across our local food system.
• Story Time: Join themed, agriculture-inspired story times hosted by our Ag Ambassadors.
• Makerspace Activities: Create a “Thank a Farmer” card, enjoy hands-on projects, and grab a fun Food + Farm temporary tattoo.
• Greenhouse Tours: Explore how food grows with guided greenhouse tours led by our knowledgeable team.
• Plant-Your-Own Bean Project: Plant a bean seed in our Greenhouse in a compostable pot and take it home with growing instructions.
• Sunny Sweet Corn Appearances: Say hello to Sunny Sweet Corn throughout the afternoon — perfect for photos.
• Selfie Station: Capture the day with a fun photo stop near the World’s Largest Potato Masher (weather permitting).
