Mit dabei: 80er-Superstar Nik Kershaw, der nicht nur den Sound eines ganzen Jahrzehnts mit Hits wie „I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me“, „Wouldn't It Be Good“ oder „The Riddle“ prägte. Er schrieb auch viele Songs für andere Künstler wie Bonnie Tyler, Boyzone, Cliff Richard oder Chesney Hawkes, der ihm seinen Welthit „The One and Only“ verdankt, den Nik Kershaw beim Summer of Music Festival von Bayern 1 sicher auch selber performt. 
Unter dem Motto „WE WILL ROCK YOU!“ bringt der kanadische Sänger Marc Martel die legendären Superhits von Queen auf die Bayern 1 Bühne. Er klingt eins zu eins wie der verstorbene Queen-Frontman Freddie Mercury, hat ihm bereits in der Film-Biografie „Bohemian Rhapsody“ die Stimme geliehen und tourt mit der „One Vision of Queen“-Tribute-Show durch die Lande.
Durch die Bühnen-Show führen Bayern 1 Morgenmoderator Marcus Fahn und Melitta Varlam aus dem Bayern 1 Vormittag. Aber auch viele andere bekannte Radiostimmen sind in Weißenburg dabei: Moderatorin Ulla Müller wird beim „Treffpunkt Müller“ Menschen zusammenbringen, die alleine zum Festival kommen oder einfach neue Leute kennenlernen möchten. Moderator Tilmann Schöberl kann man am Weinstand begegnen, wo er den Ausschank übernimmt. Bierkenner Jürgen „Kauli“ Kaul wartet am Zapfhahn auf seine Fans und lädt als DJ nach den Live-Konzerten mit Bayern 1 Disco Sound zum Tanzen ein.
