- **Event Description**: ARRIVE 6:30 AM. WE START BY 6:45 AM. We expect players to stay until 8:30 am, possibly 8:45 am if we get started late. Sign up Rules (READ THEM):1\. Your RSVP status must be final by 10 pm the night before\. If you stay on the waitlist past 10 pm\, you must wake up in time to make it to the game if somehow you end up on the attending list overnight\. If you are on the attending list at 10 pm or at any time overnight\, you must show up to the game\. The point is that you need to make a final decision by 10 pm\. 2\. Yellow cards: If you change your RSVP after 10 pm \(EVEN IF YOU WERE ONLY ON THE WAITLIST\)\, your signup for a future game will be changed to not attending\. If you fail to show up for a game \(EVEN IF YOU ONLY GOT ON THE ATTENDING LIST OVERNIGHT\) your signups for two future games will be changed to not attending\. When a yellow card is given and your signup has been changed to not attending\, YOU MAY PUT YOURSELF BACK ON THE WAITLIST\. \(Note\, however\, that Meetup Priority is NOT a respected avenue for avoiding punishment and will likely get you kicked off again\) 3\. Waitlist rule No\. 1: The only time we play with more than 22 players in a single game is when we open the attending list to more than 22 players and we do not get enough for two games \(such as when only 24 players show up\) Otherwise we NEVER play with more than 22 players\. If someone on the attending list is not at the field in sight WHEN THE GAME ACTUALLY KICKS OFF \(which unfortunately is often later than the posted kickoff time\) we will fill that person's spot with a waitlist player\. For example\, if someone on the attending list comes rushing into view before the game kicks off\, any waitlist person we have tentatively put on the field must give way to that person who shows up at the last instant\. But once the game kicks off\, the waitlist player's spot is permanent\. 4\. Waitlist rule No\. 2: Waitlist players take spots in the order they appear on the waitlist\, not on the order that they show up\. Once the game has kicked off\, the waitlist players present at kick off fill injury openings again in the order they appear on the waitlist\. Players who show up after kickoff\, whether on the attending list or waitlist fill spots \(after those who were there at kickoff\) in the order that they show up to the field\. 5\. Players who do not stay for the entire game \(injuries excepted\) will get yellow carded\. This pickup soccer group differs from some others because we try to enforce the rules consistently in order to make the game consistently enjoyable. We have found that when not enforcing these rules we end up with games of 13 vs. 14 or not enough players showing up. Most of us have busy lives and want this consistency.
