Southern Dutchess Concert Band at Recreation Park's Cady Field, Pleasant Valley

The Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be giving an outdoor concert this evening at Recreation Park's Cady Field, behind the Town Hall, in downtown Pleasant Valley. The park is located at 1554 Main St./Route 44 (click on the map). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets: admission is Free!

The 75-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include music celebrating the 60th Anniversary of "The Sound of Music" movie, a medley of Scott Joplin's greatest ragtime hits, and "You Can't Stop the Beat" from Broadway's "Hairspray". The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
