- **Event Description**: The next meeting will take place on February 28th at Vocari Hub. The party starts 1 PM and ends at 10 PM, but you don’t have to stay the whole time and can come and go as you please. The featured game will be Resident Evil Requiem which I think is single player only but I’ll have the game available to play on two PlayStation 5s, two Xbox Series Xs and one Nintendo Switch 2 system. I’ll have two more Switch 2s with me but I only have enough room on the SD card to fit Resident Evil 9 on the third system. Keep in mind that you can play any game I have installed on a game system in the room, and not just Resident Evil. I will provide at least four pizzas, cola, and bottled water for guests to eat at the party. I wanted to address the gap between meetings. I couldn’t pick a game for January when I should had made the reservation back in December. I guess 2XKO would have been a good choice however.

Capcom has been very secretive about Resident Evil Requiem and even after I think four trailers we still don’t know many details. The main character Grace Ashcroft is an FBI agent investigating bio weapon activity in the bombed out remains of Raccoon City. Then she meets a former Umbrella scientist called Victor Gideon who is probably really evil. Then at some point the DSO sends Leon S Kennedy in a Porsche to a sanatorium in Rhodes Hill that has a zombie outbreak. Eventually Leon and Grace team up, but there isn’t co-op at least that I know about. Throughout the game you will switch between Grace and Leon between levels. However it’s not clear if the game is split up exactly in half with the two characters or if most levels feature only Grace with a couple of Leon segments sprinkled throughout the game. It also doesn’t seem like Grace and Leon have separate campaigns, so that could be a problem if you only like the action gameplay of Leon or the stealth in the Grace portions. You can also now switch between first or third person camera angles from the pause menu during any level.

Both characters can use firearms but it seems like only Leon can parry attacks. Strangely he no longer uses a knife and instead carries a hatchet, but it can still be used to block attacks. A new feature for Leon is he can pick up weapons from enemies he has defeated including chainsaws and use them himself presumably for a limited time. Grace has the ability to take blood samples from monsters and mix them together to make healing serums which kind of sounds like the herb mixing system from the classic Resident Evil games.

"description": "I have been playing video games since 1988, and have amassed a pretty good collection overtime. I \npartially\n enjoy playing first and third person shooters, fighting games, brawlers, hop and bop platformers, collectathons, and arcade racers. After High School most of my friends moved away and it's hard for a big group to switch to a different game when playing online, since some people either won't have it, or need to update the game. So I started throwing public parties at Round Table Pizza so that I could continue playing multiplayer video games with other people in person. Every party I try to setup a good mixture of modern and classic game systems. Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Sega Genesis, NES, Super Nintendo, PlayStation 2, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, and Sega Dreamcast. I also bring an arcade stick so people can try out classic coin-op games on the \noriginal\n Xbox. Plus I buy a few pizzas for the people that attend. So if this sounds appealing to you then feel free to attend one of the meetings, which take place about once a month."
