No mats or equipment is needed for class.Part of our PLAYCATION™ enrichment program, CAPOEIRA KIDS is a high-energy class that combines the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira with different interactive games to help children develop self-confidence, move their bodies in unique ways and have fun being active in a non-contact environment. Kids will practice the fundamentals of this martial art, like Ginga (rocking stance), Aú (cartwheel) and Meia Lua (half moon kick), as well as do Pad work on soft targets, learn basic gymnastics and sing Capoeira songs. Each child gets to progress to a higher Capoeira Cord Level (we use colored wristbands) as they learn more skills every new season in our Capoeira Kids program!
