- **Event Description**: The Nova Singers will welcome in the holiday season with a concert series called “Golden Jubilee Holiday.” The program will include new arrangements of favorite holiday songs and standards such as “O Holy Night,” “Jingle Bells” and “Let It Snow,” plus a Hanukkah medley and a mash-up of familiar Christmas carols sung in unfamiliar ways. The chorus, under the direction of Chuck Stanley, will be accompanied by pianist Anthony Ciotti and other instrumentalists. Nova Singers began in the living room of Peggy Joyce Barber, a high school music teacher who wanted to create a place for her students to sing together after graduation. The group presented its first holiday concert in 1976. Two of those original singers, including director Chuck Stanley, will be part of this year’s program. Children 12 and younger, plus students of any age with school ID, are admitted free.
