Description:
Learn how to enhance your manual lymphatic drainage during and between sessions. Join us in learning how to effectively apply elastic tape to any area of the body that needs some help between sessions with drainage. The thought behind elastic taping for lymphatic drainage is to apply a gentle lift off the skin which will allow the lymphatic vessels to absorb and drain. During the first half of our training day we will navigate the process and application of elastic tape for lymphatic drainage and apply to our peers as practice.
In The second half of our training day we will explore sliding silicone cups as a method of enhancing a lymphatic drainage session. You will receive the training on which cups are the best for this application, the anatomy pathways and the reasons for moving cups in a certain manner. We will have peer to peer practice on this approach after the demonstration.
There will be little time for lymphatic techniques, watersheds and pathways so this class does have a prerequisite of lymphatic drainage training prior to attending this class. The tuition will pay for this class, take home supplies of silicone cups, and elastic tape with scissors.
Supplies to Bring: Sheet set, pen/pencil, oil of choice (for cups)
