Legacy River is pleased to announce a clinic with Dennis Mitchell! Saturday November 29th & Sunday November 30th.
A native of Troy, NY, Dennis Mitchell began building his career growing up in his father's training stable. His success showing his father's ponies quickly garnered the attention of other professionals, leading to catch rides on national champion ponies, and exposure to the classical unfurled, culminating in over 40 Grand Prix victories.
Always keen to share his knowledge, Dennis went on to train other Grand Prix riders including Olympic qualifiers, Aaron Vale & Todd Minikus. He has developed winning national equitation riders and USEF year-end champions in both the hunter and jumper divisions, accumulating championships at Harrisburg, Washington, and New York along the way.
Over the past five decades, his riding and training have taken him to all corners of the United States & Europe. Dennis brings a lifetime of knowledge & experience as well as his passion for the sport to each lesson and clinic he gives, from beginner level to Grand Prix preparation.
If you're looking for a good tune up before heading south for the winter, then mark your calendars and join us for this fun and educational weekend! We will be offering 4 groups.
1. Young green horse 2'-2'6".... 9:00 - 10:30
2. 2'6" - 3'..................................... 11:00 - 12:30
LUNCH BREAK
3. 3'6" Equitation............................1:00 - 2:30
4. 3'6"-4'6" jumpers.......................3:00 - 4:30
Each group will be approximately 90 minutes each day. Breakfast and lunch will be served for riders and auditors. In house stabling will be limited but available. Please feel free to reach out to us for further details at
