Unapologetically overthinking, overcomplicating, and oversensitive for over 50 years—from corporate boardrooms to manual labor to his private practice—he has walked a path of sobriety for 23 years, seeking to live what his mentor called a "distinctly human life" each day. This life is shared with his wife of 137 years (actually 19), their dog, and only six children—three boys and three girls, including their youngest with special needs. A volunteer youth coach for soccer, basketball, and baseball for the last 11+ years, Corey is a constant seeker of profound wisdom, the peace of mountains and beaches, and the elusive, perfect jam band setlist. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events8/banners/62551a70-9b66-11f1-94c5-d3a2412e8c30-rimg-w779-h740-dcb8a898-gmir.jpg Cody is currently pursuing his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lewis University. His work is shaped by a genuine commitment to helping people navigate the challenges that define their lives. His own path has led him to study and advocate for men’s mental health, especially the questions men carry about identity, masculinity, and what it means to live a meaningful life. That curiosity has grown into a passion for creating spaces where people feel seen, understood, and supported. Outside of his clinical work, Cody finds joy in time with his nieces and nephews and in the simple, grounding experience of connecting with others. He feels most centered in nature — whether he’s hiking, kayaking, or out on a disc golf course — where he can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what matters.
