Step onto the roughly half-mile Haunted Trail at Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary for an atmospheric Halloween experience where every scream directly funds the food, farrier, and medical care of rescued horses, donkeys and mule.

Why This Trail Stands Out

Choose Your Fear Level: Tailor your trek through the dark woods—opt for a lighthearted, family-friendly walk or brave the intense jump scares and strobe lights along the scary path.

Unlimited & Ever-Changing Spooks: Walk the trail as many times as you want in one night. With dynamic volunteer actors and branching paths, no two loops (or nights) are ever the same!

Meet the Rescues: Costumes are encouraged! Dress up in your Halloween best and stop by to say hello to the sanctuary's resident equines.

No Tickets Required: Skip the hassle and online processing fees. Entry is by donation at the gate—give what you wish to support our 501(c)(3) non-profit mission.

Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Rain, snow, or shine—we never cancel!)

Know Before You Go

Parking: Park directly in the sanctuary field (weather permitting), with additional overflow parking available on nearby streets.

Footwear Required: Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots. Sandals, flip-flops, and heels are strictly prohibited for trail safety.

Property Rules: For the safety of the animals, leave pets at home. No smoking, vaping, or alcohol is allowed anywhere on the property. Please wait patiently at the red gate upon arrival until opened.
