- **Event Description**: Broom Making Class Stage 2. In this advanced friendly class, you’ll create an hawk tail whisk broom from natural broom corn, also a couple different colors of broom corn to choose from. You can choose your twine and add a charm to your broom. This class is a prerequisite for the advanced sessions. You must have also taken the stage 1 class (turkey wing broom)! Hand strength and both hand and foot dexterity are required.   

You will be making a beautiful functional whisk broom called the Hawk Tail Broom. The Hawk Tail broom is a classic style whisk dating back to the very early 1900’s. We will be hand tying the broom as they did over 200 years ago. With your choice of string, natural broom corn and a choice of red or black bunch of broom corn to add you will learn how to build the thickness of the brush and handle layer by layer. The broom will be a good size to fit in your hand to sweep and dust many surfaces such as desktops, table tops, work benches, and shelves. It is great for corners, wood stoves, and stairs anywhere you need a whisk. They make great housewarming and wedding gifts too!

 limited to 10 participants.   

Cost: $45 (includes all materials).   

Additional charms and crystals will be available for purchase to decorate your brooms.
