It's time again for our favorite day of the year - the Day of Gratitude. Who doesn't love Thanksgiving...especially celebrating with our community all that we have to be grateful for? Come one, come all and have a great time working up an appetite for Thanksgiving dinner! 
Bring your running shoes, kids, in-laws, grandparents, first-cousins-once-removed, and neighbors and remember what small town holidays are all about. 
We'll begin precisely around 8:30 am, Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27!
Start is in the parking lot of the Placerville Library, 345 Fair Ln, continuing on the El Dorado Bike Trail toward Missouri Flat Road and finishing back at the library. The course is marked for three lengths to run/walk/bike: measured exactly somewhere around 1 mile, to the inch (or foot or yard) something like 5K, and to the meter somewhere approximately 10K (give or take).
A few key points:
- This event is only kind of organized!
- If you are looking to race - you might have to drive a bit further!
- However, if a local, charitable, fun, and totally family-oriented event is what you are looking for...we're the best gig in town!
-This is a grassroots and unofficial event = free of any official timing, tee-shirts, water bottles or swag – participant improvisation welcomed and delighted!
- This event is free! Contributions of money or non-perishable goods are encouraged but not required. 100% of all donations go to (and make checks out to) the El Dorado Food Bank.
-All are welcome: runners, joggers, walkers (two-legged and aluminum), strollers (two-legged and wheeled), bikes, trikes, dogs on leash, etc.
-Breakfast pot luck: If you're not already up to your elbows in holiday meal prep, please consider bringing a snack or drink to share while you mingle with your neighbors.
-We'd love a few volunteers to help mark the trail, play photographer, and assist with other little fun tasks. Message us if you're excited to help!
