Manure Pit Safety & Rescue Training – Wood County
Join us for a hands-on training focused on the serious hazards associated with manure pits and confined spaces on farms. This event brings farmers and emergency responders together to improve awareness, prevention, and rescue preparedness.
Participants will learn:
• Hazards of working around manure pits
• Importance of air quality monitoring
• Proper use of body harnesses, lifelines, and retrieval equipment
• Safe rescue procedures for confined space incidents
Firefighters and emergency personnel will receive specialized instruction on conducting safe rescues from manure storage structures.

Registration Note: Wood County firefighters will receive priority registration.
